What causes Rosacea..

What is it?  

Rosacea is an extremely common skin condition that causes redness and visible blood vessels in your face 

Clients tend to present with Rosacea when the Redness becomes persistent but unfortunately at this point the condition has already taken hold and can be challenging to treat. Early detection is vital in managing Rosacea  

Symptoms: 

Oily skin with enlarged pores 

Sebaceous gland hyperplasia (small bumps under skin from blocked sebaceous ducts) 

Feint Redness (pink hue) 

Broken Capillaries  

Acne like lesion that tent to reoccur in the same place 

Causes? 

The cause of rosacea is unknown, but it could be due to a combination of hereditary and environmental factors. Rosacea is not caused by poor hygiene 

A number of factors can trigger flare-ups, including: 

Hot drinks and spicy foods 

Red wine and other alcoholic beverages 

Temperature extremes 

Sunlight or wind 

Emotions 

Exercise 

What to avoid: (Anything that dries out the skin) 

Products with alcohol, Witch Hazel, Menthol, Eucalyptus Oil
